How To Craft Saryn
To craft Saryn you must obtain his Main Blueprint first, which you can purchase in the Market for Credits. Once you obtain that you will have to go to the Merrow node in Sedna, and fight the boss enemy Kela De Thaym for the remaining three blueprints. The materials involved in the creation of Saryn's components (such as Ferrite, Salvage, and Rubedo) are pretty common and easily farmable across the Origin System.

This passive ability will prove pivotal on the build we'll discuss below. Since Saryn relies on her abilities first and foremost, this is a bonus you will always appreciate.
Spores
Spores: Inflict a target with a pox of Corrosive spores. Spread spores to nearby enemies by destroying them or killing their host. The longer the Spore spreads, its damage will increase.

Spores is by far the most important skill in Saryn's arsenal. This ability involves spreading an ailment that will inflict damage over time on your foes, while also decaying if it stops spreading from host to host. To avoid that you must kill enemies afflicted with Spores, which in turn will spread the disease further, affecting new enemies. The Augment Mod for this ability is calle Venom Dose, making Spores to be held on cast and creating a buff for the caster and nearby allies that provides temporary additional Corrosive Damage to all their attacks. Another related mod is Revealing Spores, an Exilus Mod that causes enemies affected by Spores to appear on the mini map.
Molt
Molt: Shedding her skin like a snake, Saryn leaves a decoy behind to draw fire from enemies.
Note: This ability can be subsumed with the Helminth System.

---|---|
Cost | 50 Energy |
Radius | 5 / 6 / 7 / 10 Meters |

A crowd control tool that diverts aggro to a decoy, Molt also provides a buff on Movement Speed that can serve as a quick way to get out of tight or unfavorable situations. The Augment Mod Regenerative Moltallows Saryn to regenerate Health over time after casting this ability.
Toxic Lash
Toxic Lash: While active, attacks deal additional Toxin damage; this effect is doubled for melee strikes. Instantly burst spores when attacking afflicted enemies.
Toxic Lash Stats | Stats per Rank |

Cost | 50 Energy |

Strength | Duration | Efficiency | Range |
---|---|---|---|
Affects Bonus Damage applied | Affects the Duration | Affects Energy Cost | N/A |
While this isn't a very central ability, it may be useful on certain circumstances, adding extra damage with Spores bursting if you attack enemies already afflicted by them. As a twist, the Augment Mod Contagion Cloud will make any kill done under the effect of Toxic Lash to leave behind a poisonous cloud Toxin damage over time to enemies within it.
Miasma
Miasma: Releases a poisonous miasma that deals Viral damage to enemies in range. Foes afflicted by spores are more susceptible to the mist.
Miasma Stats | Stats per Rank |
---|---|
Cost | 75 Energy |
Radius | 10 / 12 / 16 / 20 Meters |
Duration | 6 Seconds |
Damage | 110 / 125 / 135 / 150 Viral Damage |
Other Effects | 100% Viral Status Chance 4.0x Spores Damage Multiplier |
Strength | Duration | Efficiency | Range |
---|---|---|---|
Affects Damage | Affects the duration of miasma effect on enemies | Affects Energy Cost | Affects Radius |
A perfectly synergic ability for Saryn, Miasma is an AoE attack that will hit with extra damage if enemies are afflicted by Spores. The perfect partner for both Spores and Toxic Lash, this ability can obliterate almost any annoying crowd in seconds, and whoever lives after that will fall under Spores shortly after, you can be sure about that.

This build is simple to grasp, but it requires to keep an eye on the Spores buildup, so you never stop inflicting damage as you cast Miasma and further spreading them between large groups of enemies (ideal for Elite Sanctuary Onslaught runs). The setup is pretty basic, you need to nail great Range with mods like Overextended, Cunning Drift, and Stretch, to spread the Spores as much as you can to cover territory more effectively. Then Strength and Duration will help you inflict more damage with less Spore Decay, and to do that mods like Intensify, Continuity, and Transient Fortitude will be necessary in this build. Last, since Saryn isn't exactly a tanky warframe, mods like Steel Fiber and Vitality will help, along with Rejuvenation to add a bit of Health regeneration.
